Changes are coming soon
Having listened to users, we’ll soon implement significant changes to the way deckhive.com works.
When we launched Deckhive in beta mode in December 2020, we were keen to know what users thought of the platform. Although we’d done our best, we always suspected that there would be one or two things we’d have got wrong. And so it turned out.
In trying to balance the needs of users and our Creative Partners, whose fabulous card decks you’ll find in our library, we’d created a pricing structure that was maybe a little too complex. The combination of one-off purchases for decks and ongoing need for guest passes added confusion for some and felt too restrictive for others.
Although most users loved the core functionality that Deckhive offers – enabling the use of card decks in online meetings – it seemed that some felt like they were driving with the brakes on. Some wished they could experiment with more of the card decks, without having to buy them, while others found the price of guest passes prohibitive when they wanted to do short activities with groups.
We’ve given these issues a LOT of thought over the last few months. We’ve had sleepless nights and hours of discussions, often feeling like we were going around in circles! But now, we have a plan.
We’ll soon be implementing a number of changes that will make Deckhive more useful, easier to use and better value. The main things you’ll notice are:
- We’ll move to a subscription model, with a choice of 3 plans - Free, Starter or Unlimited
- Paid plans will allow you to start sessions with ANY deck in the library
- Guest Passes won’t be needed, so you’ll be able to bring as many people into your session as you like
We’re excited about these improvements and hope it will enable coaches, facilitators, teachers and other professionals to make even more use of the Deckhive platform in their work. We’ll still be making mistakes, of course, but hopefully we’re moving in the right direction!

Also, on Tues 8 June, we’ll be hosting a webinar to talk through these changes and answer any questions. You can sign up here if you’d like to join us.
